Age Group U10
The U10 age group is for children who are 8 or 9 years old as of January 1st of the current year.
The U10 games are played on the North Haven School field or Cambrian Heights Community Association field.
Games are generally 5 v. 5, depending on team sizes and are played using approximately 3/4 of the field of play between the permanent steel goals. The one hour time slots are typically broken into two components: approximately 15 minute practice then a 45 minute game
followed by the game on the full field.
The goal is to ensure that each player has fun and roughly equal playing time; translated into equal opportunity to touch the ball in a game setting and a minimum of time waiting on the sidelines.Time is stopped every 4 - 5 minutes for substitutions.
